Meet the Team
At Mindful Lotus we view one's individual and relational difficulties from a holistic and systemic lens. What does this mean?

Systemic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on how an individual's personal relationships, behaviour patterns, and life choices are interconnected with the issues they face in their life. For many individuals, systems work provides insight into how patterns established early in life are adversely impacting one's future options. It helps to identify deeply entrenched patterns within an individual's relationships as well as in larger groups. This process helps to uncover the ways people communicate and behave within a system, based on their respective roles within their family/a group.

This approach will provide someone with the tools they need to help them better understand themselves and in turn develop healthier relationships with others in their lives. Individuals will be active participants in exploring how their thought patterns, feelings, and behaviours impact the environment around them. Moreover, it helps individuals understand the different perspectives people may have in different contexts which will empower them to take charge of their life. Overall, systems therapy will help people improve their communication, build stronger relationships, and enable them to move forward from their problems.
